Sexy time sex poll about sex

Privacy is a fundamental human right, and is central to the maintenance of democratic societies.
Agree
Disagree
Not sure

Putting first by putting employees first, immediately after prioritizing fiscal responsibilities and leveraging profitability towards exceeding by empowering our employees to put (and themselves) first, in a diverse and respectful environment of only those that come first, first.

Like pretty much every issue that faces humanity today I'm not sure what to think about privacy rights . It's very , very easy for me to think "only people that doing something wrong would care about privacy" which is odd because I never reveal anything about myself to people if I can avoid it . People ask me all the time "hey 40 what are you doing this weekend ?" and I always lie because I don't want them to know anything about me . And yet somehow I feel okay with government surveillance ? I guess because that's more of an abstract .

However it seems like everyone I know who I trust and respect is BIG TIME into privacy . But what I can't be sure of is if that's just because of feelings and emotions (which are dumb obvs) or because of logic and reason .

I guess the claim is that privacy helps individuals maintain their autonomy and individuality ? On the other hand the claim that privacy helps form subcultures doesn't mean much to me - I have nothing against subcultures but is that important ? Don't know .

One time a dude said this 'As the Americans learned so painfully in Earth's final century, free flow of information is the only safeguard against tyranny. The once-chained people whose leaders at last lose their grip on information flow will soon burst with freedom and vitality, but the free nation gradually constricting its grip on public discourse has begun its rapid slide into despotism. Beware of he who would deny you access to information, for in his heart he dreams himself your master.'

Sounds good . I can't deny that despots are really into not letting people have privacy but isn't the "dream" for openness and honestly and no one having anything to hide ?

I mean isn't what we're trying to do here learning to overcome the crass demands of flesh and bone , for they warp the matrix through which we perceive the world ? To extend our awareness outward , beyond the self of body , to embrace the self of group and the self of humanity . The goals of the group and the race are transcendent and to embrace them is to achieve enlightenment right ? So who cares about privacy ?

I don't know man , I just don't know .

Putting clients first by putting employees first, immediately after prioritizing fiscal responsibilities and leveraging profitability towards exceeding by empowering our employees to put clients (and themselves) first, in a diverse and respectful environment of only those that come first, first.

Yes it is. However, once you go on the internet that goes out the window.

EULAS sometimes say otherwise. I'd love if privacy was more enforced rather than tossed to the side.

I voted ‘I’m not sure ‘ (in my usual wishy washy way).

To me it seems like there’s a trade off between convenience and privacy. E.g. I find gmail to be a convenient product, but I am quite sure they’re harvesting my emails to sell me ads.
