Just the other day I clicked on "hide" post and it disappeared completely. I asked "support" to undo what had happened - they can't. WTH. When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

You're exactly right- the site just doesn't function well. It's a fun place to blog and I really enjoy the bloggers here, but the glitches and disfunction really detract from the experience, and I don't expect it to change. The other site where I blog never loses my photos- once I post them they stay posted. AssPlace has yet to lose a photo I've posted. Here, you can not only lose photos but entire posts. Sigh. You sir are a genius - that worked. Now, why couldn't "support" tell me that? A rhetorical question of course. Thank you. When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

Hello, this is just one of many issues the site needs to fix but the site does not want to understand or not want to listen and deal with the problems. If they do takes a lot of people to complain they finally put a bug number on it Then it takes time to fix maybe months before they get to it. Koffla, I've had the same problem. Now I will admit there are only one or two posts on my blog that are hidden because I deleted 90% of what I had on there a few years ago. I'm completely stumped why I can't unhide things, makes no sense at all. If I click 'unhide' I would think that is what would happen. Guess not!

Glitches! They drive me crazy. Posts don't post, or they post and then vanish. Comments take hours to appear, and some comments disappear completely minutes after being posted. So many problems and not just with blogs. I wonder when will it all come to a crushing end... Well at least you have come out of hiding. I have never tried to play hide and seek with blog posts but one issue that has caught me out a few times is when I am typing away in the blog post box and then when I accidently touch some or other key and everything I have typed vanishes and wont come back. To make matters worse I can never remember what I just said. Sir Teezalot WAR IS ABSURD

First of all , Welcome Back, and hope you have enjoyed your time away from here This site as we all know , or rather the complex company structure of the owners of this and it's sister sites, are in financial difficulties, and have been for years. This has led to all sorts of problems as they seem to be running it on a shoestring.I think they have cut back on server capacity, as well as many other things. That might explain a lot of the problems here.

Having been in the business of programming I try to cut them some slack. However, at times they do try your patience. The things that are the most difficult they seem to do alright but they mess up on things that shouldn't be all that difficult.

Still trying to figure things out myself. Read my diary Journal of a Taxi Driver for taxi stories and pictures of flowers and trees.

First, and most important, welcome back! The community keeps me here: I've had my own problems with the site (hotlinks taking their sweet time to go live) which, like clockwork, I call the Helpdesk about every month. For the most part the folks I've dealt with are polite (I've worked with the occasional lemon, but that's rare) but the treatment is symptomatic, rather than addressing the root of the problem. I've had a fantasy for a while about sitting down with site owners and calmly, in a non-accusing fashion, going over the good, bad, and ugly of the site. Nobody loves to be whined (or, for some of our readers, "whinged") at: The are aspects of the site which are pretty terrific. I have no idea what the business model for the site is, and knowing that would help diagnose why owners are apparently unresponsive: Long-term customers are more valuable than newbies. Any business which focuses on newbies (except, perhaps, for the funerary industry) is destined to fail. I just wish I knew who to contact about this... But... Koffla, you are one of the individuals who has made the most of the site. Good to have you back after your hiatus, and I am looking forward to your posts, podcasts, and cartoons! Stop in, read, and offer comments at my "swinging as seen in the media" blog, "Confessions of a Lifestyle Man" humorlife, which is also the home of the monthly virtual symposium. Welcome back Compadre! Main problem with this place...most of the folks who did the original programing are LONG gone...Even though Andrew got the place back...most of the present staff have no Fucking clue how the site actually works! I cringe when I go to the SSB...Hell I'd be willing to bet you and I know how this stuff works better than those Monkeys...If I see "clear your cache and cookies one more time I AM going to puke...Shit...Andrew even bragged about buying "new BIGGER servers"...and promptly lost all our pictures from out profiles W.O.O. 's I tell ya...Wastes Of Oxygen...Argh...Stepping away from the Box...

The company is in dire financial straits....they haven't the money available to employ enough staff to sort the problems. The staff they have are mostly not sufficiently rained to deal with problems posted on the Site Support blog so we get the usual canned response. Try changing a word or a code and see if that will "unhide" the posts"...knowing the site some bright spark has probably decided that in order to edit a post....which is how we used to unhide them....you actually have to make a change! Welcome back to the madhouse. ~~Anais Nin~~

I'm actually nostalgic for the days when the website actually worked. I remember having to call tech support and get walked through my own computer, just to see and add to my blog one time, though. This was a long time ago. Come into my realm! You aren't afraid...are you?

It's still a mess!!!! I wonder, maybe when we undid our posts, it's got go though the whole approving process??? It's been really really slow to get my blog post approved lately...sometime, after 6 hours and still not approved...that's not acceptable...i am a bold baller...

Welcome back to BlogLand, where folks are still friendly and can pretty much say what they want, when they want, and other folks still interact with them. blog on!

Ha! I read your question to Site Support when you first posted it and just laughed in disgust at their stupid reply. If they would just take the time to read first time around they would understand what's being asked of them and save everyone time. One of my comments on a blog was denied the other day for mentioning a banned word or topic. I hadn't mentioned anything worthy of banning so emailed customer service and they told me they couldn't discuss the outcome of their investigation due to privacy reasons. I replied telling them as it was my comment I'm asking about WTH are they rambling on about? Then they replied telling me to try clearing my cookies and cache and see if that helped. Really? That's going to explain why my post was denied, you bunch of incompetent morons? Ugh You really can't fix stupid. At least not on this site. Fantastic photograph! Another point: Untill recently members could earn points , just by carrying out their normal atictivities here, now they are selling points instead ! In order to buy points of course they require credit card details, and in view of the hacks on Ashley Madison, and the dumping of that data on the web, together with the fact that this site and its sister sites were also hacked you would have to be crazy to give any sex site credit card and any other personal details. Since this new buying points system has started, all my points here have been wiped out, but on my female partners profile, they have not , strange .
